Two things make an Echo: a voice and a face. Fill this in, you will get an invoice, and the moment it is paid their Echo starts on its own.

The name the Echo answers to. It also becomes part of their web address.
This is the name on your invoice and receipt. If the Echo is of you, it is the same name twice, which is fine.

Either way it is flat for a household, whatever size the Echo is, and carries 1,000 credits a month. You can stop it any time from your own floor.
On an iPhone, open Voice Memos. On an Android phone, open Recorder. On a Windows computer, open Sound Recorder. Press record, talk for half a minute about anything at all, stop, and save it.
If you record it on your phone and you are building this on a computer, email the file to yourself, open the email on the computer, and save the attachment. Then choose it above.
An mp3 or a voice memo. Ordinary talking works better than reading aloud. It is held privately, used once to make the voice, then deleted. $4.99, per person, so two people in one Echo is two. Optional: without one the Echo writes rather than speaks, and you can send a recording later.
Add them one at a time or several at once, as many as you like. Your own photographs carry no charge. Each one appears as a row below with a tick box: leave it as a photograph, or turn it into a four second video for $4.99. Optional: with none, the M.E. mark stands in until you send one.
If you already have a video of them on Vimeo, paste the link here and it is what people see instead of a photograph. No charge, the same as your own photographs.
